The 1890's wasp-waist corsets are based a historical example found in the last part of the 19th century. The period 1880 to 1900 encompasses the bustle and Belle Époque era before the S-Bend look came into vogue. A small waist was extremely desirable, with women aiming to achieve a waist measurement of 21 inches.
This corset features:
-A centre front busk with a mid-bust height. -Steel Spiral boning throughout. -English cotton coutil fabric foundation -Dupion Silk top fabric -Danish Lace trimming -Cotton flossing -Cording on both the side panels and the bust. -The centre back has lacing with a two piece painted nickel grommets.
These corsets have a gentle nip in the waist, smooth across the hips and torso, and support the bust without creating a dramatic modern push-up effect. This more natural bustline creates a more historically accurate silhouette and is better fitting for a modern figure
The corset will fit standard size 8-10.
